Keystone Wedding Photography: Kasey and Dave

This past weekend I photographed two destination mountain weddings with Charlotte on Keystone mountain.  Working back to back weddings at 11,444 ft is quite physically demanding but I tried to feed off the energy of the couple and their guests and captured some great moments.  Kasey and Dave live in Denver and decided to have their ceremony and reception at the Timber Ridge lodge on top of Keystone ski resort.  It took two gondola rides to get up to the venue and we were treated with great views on the way.  Dave was so fun to photograph because he kept making Kasey laugh and brought out her gorgeous expressions.

Keystone is not a bad place to get married. 😉

Everyone had to take two gondola rides to reach the wedding venue.

I hiked up one of the trails in the dark to get this twilight shot of the venue.

One of the lovely flower girls.  Those big eyes were so cute!

There was an afternoon thunderstorm that delayed the arrival of guests but the sky cleared just in time for a beautiful wedding ceremony.

Kasey had such a great smile!

I saw Kasey waving ferociously at someone behind me so I spun around to find out who it was.

Kasey and the Maid of Honor, her sister Jamie.

The mountains of Summit County provide a great backdrop.

I love the expression on Dave’s face as an unknown dog with a bow around its neck wandered into the bride and groom portrait session.

Keyston wedding Maid of Honor toast

Kasey’s sister and Maid of Honor was in tears for most of her toast to the bride and groom.

I really like the little touches like these bride and groom champagne glasses.

The father-daughter first dance always brings a lot of emotion out as dad realizes his little girl is all grown up.

Such a cute family dance during the reception.

The interior of Timber Ridge glows beautifully at night.

Congratulations to Kasey and Dave! I wish you all the best in your lives together!
