On July 17th, I photographed the wedding of Jane and Ben as a second shooter for Charlotte and was happy that I got the opportunity to document the joining of two families in a way I have not witnessed before. Jane and Ben are Korean and there were wonderful traditional elements of their wedding that were beautiful to see. Family is extremely important in traditional Korean culture and it was easy to see the connections. Jane’s mother brought traditional dress outfits, called Hanboks, directly from Korea and the bride and groom wore them for a portrait session before the ceremony as well as later in the evening. The reception took place at the Cable Center at the University of Denver campus, which is a great place to have all or part of a wedding.
